Features:
The Optrel respiratory Softhood work’s on the positive pressure principle, ensuring that pressure inside the hood remains greater than that when compared to the outside working environment. This works to prevents contaminated air from entering the Softhood and into the respiratory tract. This makes the Optrel Softhood extremely comfortable to wear, even when used over long periods of time. T
Thanks to its wide panoramic visor and anti-fog coating, the Softhood offers a greater level safety in the working environment with an unrestricted view of the work area, which is always guaranteed.
The short version of the Softhood is ideal when the focus is on additional acoustic protection, whilst the long version covers the entire neck and shoulder area when there is possible increased exposure to dust or overspray.
The Softhood can protect against dust and spray mist in a variant of non-toxic jobs and is ideal for use in the manufacturing industry, wood processing, food and pharmaceutical production, mining and in agricultural industry.
Protection during paint spraying: In addition to any possible particulates, organic gases and vapours may also be present during paint spraying applications. Therefore, the sprayer should use a mask with an extremely high level of protection and filters from organic gases and vapours. The Softhood in combination with the e3000X and an A1B1E1 gas filter offers exactly that, a protection level of TH3. In addition to respiratory protection the Optrel Softhood also offers head, face and eye protection. With the long Softhood version, even the neck and shoulder areas are spared from the possibility of overspray. A breathing space is created under the protective hood, which supports wears breathing thanks to overpressure and eliminates the tiring breathing resistance associated with traditional half masks.
Wood processing: During the processing of wood, very fine wood particulates can pass into the paranasal sinuses or lungs, these can often irritate the respiratory tract and may also trigger allergies or other long-term illnesses. The Optrel Softhood will not only protect the user’s respiratory system, but also help to protect the wears eyes, as the protective hoods are worn over the entire head. Together with the e3000X, the respiratory protection system also filters ingredients such as tannic acids, unsaturated aldehydes or mould, which can also pose a health risk during wood processing. Thanks to the additionally A1B1E1 gas filter, secondary materials such as varnish, stain or paint are simply filtered out.
Demolition and renovation work: Substances that are harmful to the respiratory tract can be released during demolition and renovation work. It is not always possible to identify which types of construction materials were originally used. The Optrel Softhood offers all-round respiratory protection that also protects the eyes and face from fine dust. Thanks to the combination with the e3000X, you will always be supplied with fresh air, regardless of how much dust it has. The slight overpressure supports breathing and eliminates the tiring breathing resistance.
Agriculture: Appropriate respiratory protection is essential, especially when dealing with some of the hazard types such as disinfectants, solvents and pesticides. The Optrel Softhood not only offers protection when mixing, but above all during application. In addition to protecting the respiratory tract with A1B1E1 filter, it also protects the eyes and face from the spray mist. Due to its extremely low weight, it can be worn comfortably for long periods of time.
