Excellent mechanical properties and resistance to chemical corrosion, suitable for welding or surfacing stainless steels having similar chemical compositions.
316Lsi can also be used for welding 304L type steels as well as normal carbon 316 grades and Nb or Ti stabilized steels provided service temperatures do not exceed 400°C.
316LSi has enhanced silicon content which improves the fluidity of the melt pool with a minimum of spatter and porosity, this also ensures a nice and smooth weld surface.
